ANBU and their dietary habits

Brick-faced man, irritating kid, and daft dog. Fin.
Today’s outing was a sort of reunion-farewell for a friend who’d just returned from India, where she’s studying dentistry. We’d decided on Times Square (why does everyone feel the need to recreate that noisy intersection in their home country?) as our meeting place, around 2pm, after which we’d have lunch.

District 9: How to raise a prawn and cuss like South Africans

Author's preface: As should be obvious from the movie poster above, this is a really, really late post.  Some brief announcements: as some of you might have noticed, I've just added an advert to the left sidebar. I hope you don't find it too obtrusive. It's position might move around in the days to come, though. The second announcement: an unexpected benefit of using this theme (Atahualpa) is how nice the comments look. I could gush on and on about how much I like the theme, but I'll just limit myself to saying how gorgeous the super-long comments look now... and yeah, no more nested comments, which is why comments on older posts might seem a little messed up. I'll fix them if I get the time, or if I'm ever able to make sense of the whole mess. Now, on with the post:
I spent three months as a hikikomori (Shut-in) - is what I’d like to say. Truth is, it’s not that easy a thing to do. I spent most of that time within the confines of my home, but I did go out now and then- mostly for lunch or dinner with the family, things like that. A failure as a hikikomori, although that’s actually a good thing.

Natsu no Arashi: Quantum Physics for Amateurs

It looks nothing like this.
Natsu no Arashi (Summer Storm) first came to my attention while I was reading a copy of School Rumble. This little leaflet fell out, one of those small rectangular spreadable sheets of shiny, thin, brightly (Or darkly, depending on the material it covers) colored paper that just inexplicably make for minutes of delightful, albeit brief, reading.

A Miniature Akallabêth of Sorts

Well, here it is- what you've all been waiting for, since the moment when I first expressed my hope to migrate to a paid host, free from the restrictions of a free blog. It's been a long wait, no? First of all, I kept myself waiting, researching the benefits/detriments attached to the use of a free hosting service, being, to a certain extent, quite determined to make use of one, even going so far as to set up a site bearing the name a20tameshi. Don't bother searching. It's dead. It's a good thing that I didn't name it aprilius20 as well, since I am a little emotionally attached to this name- my little exercise in branding. Wouldn't want it to be attached to something that returns an error 404.
